Have you signed up for your first reiki session but you’re not sure what is required once you get to the session? Well we are here to help!
There is a very simple answer to this question, really. All we require is that you RELAX! We know; this is definitely easier said than done. The biggest thing to remember is that you are in a safe, loving environment. Regardless of whether you are getting your first session or have had 100 sessions with a Seven Stones practitioner, we strive to do everything we can to make sure that you feel welcome and comfortable.
Our practitioners will help guide you into a calm, relaxed, meditative state at the start of your session. We like to play calm music and diffuse essential oils like lavender or frankincense. Heck we even might even light a candle to enhance the mood!
As you might already know, sometimes during a session you might be guided by the Divine reiki energy to release a particular emotion which can then lead to an outburst of tears or even rage. This is nothing to be ashamed of and it’s very important that you release these emotions as you feel them. Everything that happens during your session will remain between you and your practitioner (unless you want to tell everyone about your experience!). Many times we get clients who are embarrassed to let these emotions go during their session which hinders them in receiving the highest amount of healing.
Talk to us as you feel guided throughout your session to aid us in making you feel as comfortable and relaxed as possible. We are more than happy to stay silent while we work and tell you what we experienced at the end of your session but we love going through the journey of a session with you! Tell us if you need a quick break or a glass of water or talk to us about the memory that is surfacing while we are working on a particular chakra. We want to know it all and appreciate the sacredness of getting a healing session.
It’s also practical to wear comfortable clothing. Your practitioner will provide a blanket and pillow should you need one but you are also more than welcome to bring your own if that makes you more comfortable!
So to answer your question, to get the most out of your session you really just need to relax, be open and honest and be willing to receive the beautiful healing energy of reiki with an open heart and mind. Your practitioner will do the rest for you!
